[ ] 12. Install R17, 100 ohms [brown-black-brown].

[ ] 13. Install C7, .1 uf (marked .1 or 104).

[ ] 14. Install trimmer potentiometer R9. It seats neatly into its board

position near C7 and fits only one way. Solder all three pins.

[ ] 15. Install R6, 10K [brown-black-orange].

[ ] 16. Install C4, 4.7 or 10 uf electrolytic.

[ ] 17. Install R11, 33K [orange-orange-orange].

[ ] 18. Install R8, 15K [brown-green-orange].

[ ] 19. Install jumper wire JMP8. Using a scrap lead from a previously

installed component

CONSTRUCTION NOTE 3: Integrated Circuit U2, type TMC3105, is

designed to be soldered directly to the PC board. No socket is needed. If

you wish to use your own 16-pin DIP socket, use the same care in installing

the socket and inserting the IC chip as you would in directly soldering the

IC.

[ ] 20. Install U2, making sure that the notched end is oriented to the front

of the board as shown on the PC board drawing.

[ ] 21. Install C13, .001 uf (marked .001 or 102).

[ ] 22. Install R16, 15K [brown-green-orange].

[ ] 23. Install jumper wire JMP7.

[ ] 24. Install C6, 33pf.

CONSTRUCTION NOTE 4: Crystal Y1 sets U2's internal oscillator to 4.336

MHz. It is soldered in place just like any other small part. Make sure the

base of the crystal is flush against the PC board and that you do not

confuse its location with C6 or JMP7, already installed, or a hole for JMP4.

[ ] 25. Install crystal Y1.

[ ] 26. Install C9, 33 pf.
